Copenhagen has been chosen as capital of architecture 2023 by UNESCO. In addition, the largest international congress for sustainable architecture, construction and urban development (UIA - the International Union of Architects) will be held in Copenhagen on 2-6 July 2023.
Both events speak to Copenhagen's ambitions to be one of the world's best cities to visit, live and live in – and UNESCO's ambitions to spread debate and development within sustainable lifestyles and solutions.
At the same time, the focal point for the two events is a central part of BLOX's DNA, in that BLOX i.a. is home to the Danish Architecture Center, BLOXHUB (Nordic hub for sustainable urban development), the Danish Design Center and Creative Denmark.
BLOX marks this with a wide range of activities inside as well as outside during the whole of 2023.
The urban spaces at BLOX
Throughout the year you can experience four sustainable and biodiverse pavilions, which you can also stay in, i.a. on Bryghuspladsen.
In addition, you can "go to" biodiversity in the pop-up gardens, which are being set up at Bryghuspladsen in collaboration with TagTomat and local scouts.
